Question of Loyalty is the fourth sub-module of AoTD

It centers around reworking and overhauling entire commission mechanic, allowing to have more interesting progression.

It does it by introducing ranks, perks and skills that you get, by advancing through commission

Overhaul of commission mechanic

This part of AoTD, changes entire commission mechanic, as this is no longer about you getting paid for nothing, and makes you more involved within internal structure of faction itself!

Advance through ranks

Once you start with commission, you will see new intel log in screen called : Commission. It is similar system to colony crisis, but each stage is rank, earn points and when having enough, you can either ask for promotion, or you get automatically promoted (depending on faction).

You gain a lot of benefits from joining faction , but also you pay the price. All colonies will belong to commissioner once you accept commission. In return you are protected under their umbrella, and receive protection from other factions.

With pledging your allegiance to another faction, you will recieve access to new, unique abilities, like searching smuggler cargo, if in commisioner space, or you can request from time to time, a small supply package!

Retirement

When you advance enough within ranks of faction, you can ask for retirement, you can leave faction on peaceful terms, with many bonuses, beside just reciving payment! But, you also throw away not only your current title, but also colonies you own!

Rebellion

If you wanna retain your colonies, and still go your way, you have also option to revolt. To revolt you need to go intel of commission and press dedicated button. Once started, there is no coming back!

Once started, you will need to defend yourself from faction you rebelled and repell their attempts to retake markets. Once you defeat enough fleets, you will gain independence and with it, new bonuses!
